Sometimes we should wonder why we are actually afraid. This Ridinghood is discovering that the wolf is bigger and badder in the stories of her ancestors than in real life.

This is cool, Anne! Love the wolf-shadow-trees!
ReplyDeleteThanks again ;)
DeleteVery good concept. I like that the wolf is scarier in shadow that in her reality.
ReplyDeleteI think we often think things are scarier than they really are! Thanks for the nice feedback!
DeleteWhat Susanna said: very neat wolf-shaped trees!
ReplyDeleteThanks ;)
DeleteVery nice, Anne!
ReplyDeleteThank you ;)

ReplyDeleteShe may not be afraid, but I've got the creeps. Cool!
ReplyDeleteYes...I did a few other paintings of RRH and the wolf and my friend told me how she also go the creeps but couldn't stop looking ;)
DeleteVery nice. I love her hood and the wolf.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacy
DeleteI really like the mood you have created in this piece. There is something very transient about it with the light brush work, like we're witnessing a secret moment between the wolf and red riding hood. It should feel threatening (because of the story) but actually it is far from it. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your interesting take on this image! I wanted to show that sometimes things aren't as scary as we are lead to believe.
DeleteI love Red Riding Hood! Nice entry!
ReplyDeleteI love her too...although the traditional tale fascinates and puzzles me at the same time!
